Sustainable Warwick Annual No-Waste Potluck Picnic
It's time once again for Sustainable Warwick’s annual Zero-Waste Picnic! It's a great chance to meet with old friends, talk in-person to those familiar faces from Zoom meetings, and to meet new folks who are curious about what we are doing at Sustainable Warwick.
This time we will be congregating at:
Fence Road Farm Brewery
10 Fence Rd, Warwick
This is Dan Doyle’s farm, just off of Union Corners Rd—not far from the Town Park. Dan will be giving us a mini tour of his impressive new establishment, the hydroponic freight farms, the field of hops grown for their own brew, and of course our ever-increasing compost piles that Dan and his crew have maintained for SW since the beginning of our own food scrapping adventure!
Wednesday, August 20th
6:00 to 8:00PM
There will be lots to see, including the beautiful vistas to enjoy from where we will be gathered.
What's a Zero-Waste Picnic? We are "walking the walk" by encouraging everyone to bring their own place settings (plate, knife, fork, spoon, napkin, cup) and taking them back home after the picnic... leaving no trash for the barrel and less waste for the landfill!
This is a potluck gathering, so please bring a dish to share (appetizer, main dish, salad, desert... whatever pleases you!) and be sure to also bring a beverage.
All are welcome!
Subscribe to SW’s mailing list to get the reminder email for this event along with directions.

Horses and Harmonics Sound Bath
Immerse yourself in a uniquely grounding experience where the gentle presence of horses meets the soothing resonance of sound. This sound bath will take place in our arena, where horses will be free to roam the space surrounding participants, offering their silent wisdom, heart-centered energy, and intuitive support. As crystal singing bowls and other instruments create a meditative soundscape, the horses may move quietly nearby, lie down in relaxation, or simply stand in stillness.

Honey Bee Talk and Hive Visit
The Bee Apiary at The Oasis Farm at Warwick - 1st Honeybee Talk and Hive Visit
Sunday, July 13™
10:30AM to 12:30PM
The Oasis Farm at Warwick is the home of several managed bee colonies, with tens of thousands of honeybees foraging for nectar and spreading pollen from flower to flower within several miles. These little insects are great pollinators and produce two harvests of local honey yearly.
Managing the colonies for good health, productivity, and general well-being takes several hours of expert time each month and relies on years of beekeeping experience. We have both in our head-beekeeper, Roger Moss. He is part of the Oasis team, and the honey from "our" bees goes into special limited-edition mead, which is produced up the hill at our new Fence Road Farm Brewery.
Registration and payment in advance are required, no walk-ins, please.
CSA family members:
Adults $10
Ages 8-14 $5
Non-members:
